This photo of a CARDBOARD-BOX-AND-TAPE-DISTRO comes from Craig Crawford. We edited for space, but had to let him describe this in his own words. He writes:
"Sometimes, we all have to do a corporate job. This was in Williamsburg, VA , for a Stockholder's meeting for a company that might be an acronym for Large Overpriced Warehouse of Stuff Everyone needs, but I'm not too sure about that."
"I was doing Video. On day 3... walking towards FOH, I hear a really loud 60HZ hum. I look around...[and] then see this piece of carpet covering this lump of ...something that is making the hum. I lift it up, and lo and behold... the object you see before you. We had [brought] no PD on the job and we asked the venue for 20A and 60A drops around the room. They seemed to run out of conventional boxes. Yes, that is cardboard and POS Gaff/duct tape. What you can't see is the word "OFF" written with red grease paint on the box by the breakers, or the other end of the main line which was 4 wire twist run into a kitchen secured to the wall with very flammable Gaff tape (I don't have a photo of that, sadly)."
Thanks, Craig. This photo makes us all feel better about our own gear.
We have to ask...you didn't get a picture of the other end for us? What were you thinking?! The fact that this nightmare was jury-rigged for a corporate event which might have those initials is even funnier. You win the free T-shirt, by a long shot, this month.

moment catching set carp Phil in action. Joe's bunk was below Phil's.
Apparently, it was a long, long ride. |

| Our winning photo submission this month is from Jason 'Bones' Ingram, who every year at this particular event likes to find a special place to toast his crew after the final load-out. We like your style, Bones, although we're frankly not sure how much use the guy on the fountain-left side is going to be. |

If you gig in Hong Kong, do NOT miss the giant Budda at Lantao, a ferry

This one 'acolyte' is almost 30 feet tall: the Budda itself is
400 feet high. |

Sometime during the day, after this Casting Crowns tour truck at an Arizona venue had already once successfully backed into the bay for load in, it got air-ed up. And then it tried to move into postion again for load out... We don't know which is funnier, the open trailer doors or the guy standing nonchalantly with hands in pockets watching.
Thanks to Pam Zagrodzy, who sent this in for her roadie husband, Zac, for the laugh. |

| Jordan says ,"This was the load out ending after a 26 hour straight day. This truck is filled with shit box truss to the ceiling. Last row.... "
We say, "This is a tribute to Pre-Rigged Trussing". Thanks for the photo, Jordan. Does is comfort you to know your pain is our laughter? We hope so.

Thanks to Allen E. of the VA Beach Amphitheatre crew for this photo (which is not him).
He says the tattoos are real, and this king of punters "wants to be a roadie."
O-kaaay. Good luck with that.

| "Mark BT from the Great White North sent us this one. How's that for a beauty load-in, eh? He says it was below freezing and 40mph winds the whole time...but they should be used to that, living in their igloos up there in Canada..." |

deck of a cruise ship where his band was doing a show. It's hard to
believe some guys have to work under such terrible conditions." |
